超白玻璃是一種高透過率的低鐵玻璃,透過率在91%以上,氧化鐵含量<150 PPM。通常采用壓延工藝和浮法工藝生產,廣泛用于太陽能發電廠發電廠。

與普通浮法玻璃窯爐對比,超白玻璃窯爐的特點:
1. 因含鐵量低,導熱系數較高,爐底溫度高100~150°C,同時也導致玻璃流速加快。這將導致池壁磚的下部及池底侵蝕嚴重。

2. 含鐵量低導致氧泡溶解度較低,因此玻璃-耐材界面上發泡多,導致耐火磚接縫出現向上鉆蝕現象。
